BESSIE'S TABLE VOLUNTEERING

Bessie’s Table is a weekly community dinner that offers a warm, home-cooked meal and a place of dignity and welcome for neighbors experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, or isolation. It is hosted at First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines, where our friend Rev. Hope Chernich serves as senior pastor. Hope has preached at Northbrook UMC, and we’re grateful for this meaningful connection between our congregations.

We’re looking for eight volunteers (two per Monday), age 14 and up, to help with dividing food donations. No experience needed, just a willingness to help.
