Worship at NUMC
At it's heart, our worship is a time and
place to focus our attention on God's loving and gracious presence; for even
though we know God is everywhere, it is not always easy to turn our thoughts and
prayers to God. The beauty, the serenity, and the joy of worship help us in that
turning. To each and all - for whatever reason you search this web page, and no
matter how often you can worship with us - we hope that Northbrook UMC can
always be a spiritual center for you.
Our worship service
begins at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday through June 8th. Starting on June
15th our summer worship hours begin. Service begins at 9:30 a.m.
For those parents who choose not to keep their children in worship, our Sunday
school begins approximately 10-15 minutes after the beginning of the service (an
announcement is made when it is time to leave) and lasts about an hour. Baptism is available for those who seek it
(whether adults or infants). In the
Wesleyan tradition,
the Lord's Table is open to all who come. Holy Communion is celebrated on the
first Sunday of each month and at special services.
